Muséik prefers to access Show Files that are stored directly on your computer's hard drive. For performance situations we highly recommend making sure the files you will need live on the local hard drive. It is possible to access your Show Files from

For performance situations we highly recommend making sure the files you will need live on the local hard drive.&#xA0;It is possible to access your Show Files from a cloud storage system or an external drive, but we cannot guarantee the stability or performance quality of files accessed in this way.&#xA0;WINDOWS USERS: To change the File Directory settings so that Mus&#xE9;ik will load files not in the Library folder, refer to the help doc &quot;Changing the File Directory (3.0).&quot;NOTE: if you change the File Directory setting in the SETTINGS window so that it points to an external drive please use extra caution. If on a future date you wish to open the software but do not have access to that drive the software will crash on open. If this happens the only way to resolve it is to delete your version of Mus&#xE9;ik and reinstall it on your hard drive.

Always have a USB mouse available, even if you plan to control the software wirelessly with an iPad.&#xA0;1. The laptop trackpadpad is functional as a controller, but not recommended. It is simply too clumsy to be precise and requires two hands at all times. Avoid the trackpad whenever possible.2. A USB mouse plugged into your computer is a very suitable way to control the software. It is also the most stable and dependable option. Beware of wireless mice; battery failure during your show is completely preventable by using a mouse that is powered directly from your computer through a wire.&#xA0;3. Using a tablet with the Mus&#xE9;ik Remote app to control the software wirelessly is a musical and precise option. Many customers tell us that using a wireless connection to a tablet transforms the experience from &quot;running software&quot; to &quot;playing an artistic instrument.&quot; We couldn&apos;t agree more. But please note: the wireless connection between the computer and tablet can be unstable in some environments. We recommend having a USB mouse plugged in to the computer at all times to act as a back-up control system in case the connection between your computer and wireless device fails.
