How to Practice with MuséikUpdated a month ago

When you open a Muséik Show File file and hit play the media plays and the score scrolls across the screen, but most files do not contain the audio of the music you want to sync with (it will be played live by the ensemble). So how do you practice making the sync with the music? The easiest answer is to open YouTube on a second device that is connected to the internet. Do a search for the music you want to use and play the video, using the audio from YouTube as a replacement for your live ensemble. A second method is to make an audio recording of your ensemble playing the music. You then can play back that recording as you practice Muséik.

Please remember that practicing to recordings is much more challenging than playing along with a live ensemble. It is a practice method that works, but it cannot fully replicate your live performance, which Muséik was designed to accompany. We often tell new operators that if they can grade themselves with a "C" in practice with a YouTube video, they will easily achieve a grade of "A" when playing with the live ensemble.
